swEnigiser Proto VCF/A

The swEnigiser filter and VCA, in Eurorack.

The Proto VCF/A brings the characterful filter and VCA from our swEnigiser range into Eurorack format. This finely tuned 12hp module offers a 3 x 4 filter configuration, twelve modes in all, with dual audio inputs and multiple CV control options for sculpting your sound. The VCA section adds a gritty drive and a CLIP switch that toggles between old and new diode implementations, delivering raw, analog character straight into your rack.

At just 22 mm deep, it is skiff friendly and fits comfortably in shallow cases.

VCF (Voltage-Controlled Filter)

• Modes: 3 x 4 filter modes, twelve in all
• Filter core: 4 x 6dB cells in series with selectable inputs (A, B, C) and outputs (1-4)
• Input A: LP1, LP2, LP3, LP4
• Input B: 1-pole notch, 2-pole LP, 3-pole LP, 4-pole LP
• Input C: HP1, BP1, BP2, BP3
• Resonance: self-oscillating, from sine to square depending on clip mode
• Inputs: 2 x audio input with drive
• CV: 2 x cutoff CV attenuator inputs, 1 x cutoff CV input tunable to 1V/oct
• Routing: VCF output normalled to VCA input

VCA (Voltage-Controlled Amplifier)

• Input: 1 x audio input with drive, normalled from VCF output
• CV: 2 x CV input, CV1 knob adds offset for drones and sustained tones
• CLIP switch: toggles between old and new Enigiser diode settings, adjusting drive character
